Privacy Policy
[LEGAL REVIEW] This draft privacy policy explains what information the MEDCLAIM Services website collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers this website only. Patient information that a practice shares with us under a service agreement is governed by that agreement and by HIPAA, not by this policy.
Information you give us
When you use the contact or free audit forms, we collect what you type in: your name, your role, your practice's name, your work email address and phone number, the state you practice in, your specialty and your message. We use it to reply to you, to prepare a billing audit you ask for, and to keep a record of our conversations with your practice.
Our forms are not meant for patient information. Each form asks you not to include patient names, diagnoses, insurance member IDs, dates of service or any other protected health information. If patient information is sent to us through the website by mistake, we delete it and ask you to use a secure channel instead.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, so the site can be delivered and protected against misuse.
If we turn on website analytics, a tag manager may set cookies or similar technologies to tell us which pages are visited and how visitors find us. We use that information in aggregate to improve the website, not to identify individual visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who processes the information
Form submissions are delivered to us through a third-party form processing service, and the website is served by a third-party hosting provider. These providers handle the information on our behalf so the website works; they are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
We do not sell the information you give us through this website, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and the security of the website.
How long we keep it and your choices
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond, to follow up on a possible engagement, and for our ordinary business records, then delete or anonymize them.
You can ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@medclaimservices.com. You can also ask us to stop sending you follow-up emails at any time.
Other points
This website is intended for healthcare practices and their staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other websites, such as payer and government sources, are provided for reference. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. We may update this policy as the website changes; the current version is always the one published on this page.
