Pricing
Medical Billing Pricing
Billing fees only make sense when they match the work. After 7+ years of pricing medical billing for practices of different sizes and specialties, we quote each practice after looking at its own claim volume, payer mix and scope, starting with a free billing audit.
- Three pricing models: percentage of collections, flat monthly fee or hybrid
- A written quote that lists what is included and what is not
- No charge for the billing audit that comes first
The pricing models we offer
Each model suits a different kind of practice. We recommend one after the audit and explain why.
| Model | How the fee is set | Often a good fit for |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage of collections | A share of what is actually collected on the claims we bill, so the fee rises and falls with your revenue. | Practices that want our incentives tied directly to what gets paid. |
| Flat monthly fee | A fixed amount each month for an agreed volume and scope of work. | Practices with steady volume that want a predictable monthly cost. |
| Hybrid | A smaller base fee plus a percentage, or separate pricing for ongoing billing and one-off projects such as legacy A/R. | Growing or multi-specialty groups, and practices with old A/R to clear. |
Exact rates depend on volume, specialty and scope, so they are set in your written quote rather than published here.
What decides your quote
Claim volume and providers
How many claims you send each month and how many providers bill under the practice.
Specialty and payer mix
Procedure-heavy specialties, authorization-heavy payers and workers' comp or auto claims take more work per claim.
Services included
Claims and follow-up only, or coding, eligibility, credentialing and patient billing as well.
Starting condition
Whether there is aged A/R, a backlog of denials or missing payer enrollments to clear first.
Engagement terms
Agreements set out the scope, fee model, reporting and each side's responsibilities in writing before work starts. They typically run month to month after an initial term, with a 30-day notice period and a handover of open work and data if you decide to leave.
Your practice keeps ownership of its data, its system logins and its payer contracts throughout. Nothing in our pricing depends on moving you to new software.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't you publish your rates?
Because the same percentage or monthly fee can be a good deal for one practice and a poor one for another. We quote after the free audit so the price reflects your actual volume and work.
Are there setup or onboarding fees?
Any one-time fees, such as for a large legacy A/R project, are listed separately in the written quote, so there are no surprises later.
What is included in the fee?
The quote lists every included service, typically claims submission, payment posting, denial and A/R follow-up and monthly reporting, plus any add-ons you choose.
Is there a long-term contract?
Agreements typically run month to month after an initial term, with a 30-day notice period. The exact terms are in your agreement.
