Request your free audit

Tell us about your practice. We will reply to agree the reports we need and a time to review the findings. We reply within one business day.

Do not include patient information. Please leave out patient names, diagnoses, insurance member IDs and any other protected health information (PHI). We only need details about your practice.

Tell us about your practice, billing setup or current challenges. No patient details.

By sending this form you agree to be contacted about your request. See our privacy policy.

What the audit reviews

Six areas that account for most lost and delayed revenue in a typical practice.

  • Denial patterns

Denials grouped by CARC and RARC reason codes and by payer, to separate one-off problems from recurring ones.

  • A/R aging

Outstanding claims by age bucket (0 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days) and payer, with attention to claims nearing filing limits.

  • Rejections

Clearinghouse rejections that point to front-end problems such as eligibility, demographic or enrollment errors.

  • Coding patterns

E/M level distribution, modifier usage and the most frequently denied codes, to spot under-coding or compliance risk.

  • Payment accuracy

Payments compared with your fee schedule or contracted rates where available, to identify underpayments.

  • Charge lag

Days from date of service to claim submission, since slow charge entry delays cash and raises filing-limit risk.

How the audit works

  1. Step 1: Request the audit

Send the form with basic practice details. No patient information is needed.

  2. Step 2: Share summary reports

We send a short list of standard reports to export from your practice management system, such as A/R aging and denial summaries.

  3. Step 3: Analysis

We review the reports and identify the main sources of lost or delayed revenue. Findings are typically ready within 1 to 2 weeks of receiving the reports.

  4. Step 4: Findings call

We walk through what we found and the fixes we would prioritize, whether or not you go on to work with us. You receive a written summary and a call to walk through it.

What to send, and what not to send

The first pass of the audit works from summary reports that most practice management systems can export: an A/R aging summary by payer, a denial or adjustment summary by reason code, a payer mix report and a charges and collections summary for recent months. These describe how the practice bills without listing individual patients.

Please do not email patient-level reports, claim forms, EOBs or anything with patient names, dates of birth, diagnoses or insurance member IDs. If a deeper review needs claim-level detail, a business associate agreement is put in place first and secure access is arranged instead of email.

Frequently asked questions

Is the billing audit really free?

Yes, and there is no obligation to sign up for billing services afterward. The audit is open to practices of any size.

Do you need access to our patient records?

Not for the initial audit. It works from summary reports showing totals by payer, age and reason code. If claim-level review is needed later, it happens only under a signed business associate agreement and through secure access.

Which reports should we prepare?

Usually an A/R aging summary by payer, a denial summary by reason code, a payer mix report and a monthly charges and collections summary. The exact list is confirmed after you send the form, based on the system you use.

How long does the audit take?

Typically within 1 to 2 weeks of receiving the reports. Timing mostly depends on how quickly the reports can be exported from your system.

What happens after the audit?

You get a walkthrough of the findings and the fixes we would recommend. Some your team can make on its own; others may fit one of our services. Either way, the decision is yours.
